Drunken wandering!

So anotherr game night has ensued. And some random things occured. First. I got wasted, *typical* second. I recieved an email stating penguin (the publisher) has picked up my poetry and is planning on publishing it as a compilation. Unfortunately they want more of my work... And are offering me a cut, but hey I can't complain! I may soon eenouhg have a book in my name out and about!

YES! Goal number 37: Become historical success!

There's no way I am to be denied the history books if I have a book published.

I've also formed the PDS (Panda Death Squad) with Neff. I will link you to him and his sites eventuallyyy when I have a valid link and all that. He's a cool guy readers, probably cooler then I so check it out!

Also, I've got the statistics blog up and running, i'll link to it soon.

Remmeber don't play soccer. Male chances of ball kickage are,

1 in 3.

That means every three games of full player soccer you are in, one of them you will be kicked where it hurts! I warned you!

The Job-Less *Hunt*

Another re-post! If only if only I'd actually found a job -sobs-

OH! Forgot, ch-check it out. I've got a myspace.

What did I choose for my pretty lame myspace URL thing? Freepie. Well... Freepie backwards anyway,

http://www.myspace.com/eipeerf

Because everything is better backwards. And bare with me. I'm still learning how to use it.
(Side note, apparently smiley faces attract rap artists as I've had about 6 of them send me friends requests.)

So I was looking for a job ***Correction, am looking.***

And it seemed that after the 5th interview I'd landed that all every business could say was, "I would love to hire you, but with how things are we just don't have any open positions. We'll call you."

I was frustrated, I had six more interviewers to see, and well... I was rather agitated! So I decided. What would happen if I was the worst possible candidate when I went into their office? Would they tell me no blatantly? Would they say yes hesitantly? Or would I hear the same words, "We'll call you."

I'm not dumb, I know the nicest way to say no, is indirectly. And I've never ever been turned down if I've made it to an interview. So I was wondering. Do people actually say "NO" at an interview?

-Read more to find out!-

(Disclaimer: Edited out the names! And it's off memory, so while it's pretty accurate, language and context may/may not be the type used exactly.)

Anti-view #1: The UPS Store.

Interviewer: "Afternoon, please if you'd just have a seat we can get this moving along. I'm sure you're busy."

Me: "Yeah, I really am busy, do you think we could make this quick?"

Interviewer: "Uhhh- Yeah sure... So I see you have no real experience with shipping and receiving, but you've got a lot of computer skills... Is there a reason you want to work here with us?"

Me: "Well no, oh and I lied about the computer skills. I never took that course in programming. Just an F.Y.I."

Interviewer: "... Oh, well thanks for being honest..." said while laughing a bit nervously, "Is this a joke?"

Me: "No, would I have worn a collared shirt if it were?"

Interviewer: "You just aren't the sort of candidate we're looking for right now... Maybe you should try McDonald's."

Me: "I knew I should have applied at the Post Office next door. Damn UPS."

Anti-view #2: Play It Again Sports.

Me: "Hey, it's nice to meet you, sorry I'm late. I was at an interview at McDonald's. I wanted to see if I could get a McMuffin."

Interviewer: Looks at me as if I've got a bug on my head, "Well I'm sorry I tried calling you, we actually don't have any open positions right now... If you'd like though I can give you a call when we have a spot open though."

Me: "Wow that was the fastest interview I've had. Thanks for spending my time."

Interviewer: "Sorry I really did try to call."

Anti-view #3: Pete's Tea And Coffee.

Interviewer: "Please have a seat, I'll be right with you. Would you like a drink for the time being?"

Me: "I don't know, is your coffee any good?"

Interviewer: "Yes... One second." Walks off.

Interviewer: "Okay sorry about that. So... What do you think would make you a good candidate for us here?"

Me: "Do they always make you start out with a question?"

Interviewer: "Well... No it helps me get to know you."

Me: "Isn't that why I filled out the application, and why you called me?"

Interviewer: "Well no I meant on a more personal level, would you like to start over?"

Me: "Okay, what do you think would make you a good candidate for us here?"

Interviewer: Laughs some before getting serious. "Have you worked anywhere similar to Pete's before?"

Me: "I don't know, you have my application."

Interviewer: Still serious. "Okay, I don't have time for this. Thanks for stopping by."

Me: "Does this mean I got the job?"

Interviewer: "No."

****Edit: I had to remove three, apparently Helium sucks.****

So there you have it. Apparently... They do and WILL say no. The downside? I've got 6 places that will now NEVER hire me. (And probably none of my extended family) The upside? It was fun as all hell.

Once more I've conquered my desire to please everyone. So if you've been hunting for a job, and are on that one that is bottom of the barrel in your list. Play with it. It's a complete morale booster! And hey, I figure if I fail 100% at an interview statistically, I am destined to pass the next one!

Right? Probably wrong.

Note: There's the re-post guys, sorry the other three have to remain omitted, as no matter how I try to reword it, it takes away from the genuine-facts behind the whole thing which to me made it so funny!

I'm still down a job, and I am pretty sure, it's why I'm only attracting women I don't want to me. And God-Damnit, the Cardinals lost. Talk about a sucky superbowl :(

Saints Row 2 + Thoughts

You know I've still been under the pressure of my shaving experiment. And even today there was no itching. (I may have a full beard before I need to shave (-_-) Anyways.. I've run into a few thoughts today. First, I was playing Saints Row 2. And let me say this game has it all. Prostitution, Drug Dealing, Drug Trafficking, Blood, Violence, Gang Warfare, Toxic Waste, Love, Romance, Guns, Stun Guns, Boats, Planes, Cars, and lots of missions.

So yes it's the best game I've ever played and definitely allows me to vent my rage on the unsuspecting residents of Stillwater. Still... They seem smarter. You burn a guy's face with some radioactive waste... And guess what, everyone hates you. It's dynamic, it's amazing... And I love it. Is this bound to be another Mercenaries 2 where you beat it and it's no longer as exciting? Of course. But regardless. It's an amazing game to say the least.

Now onto my thoughts. I've got to wonder just what's going on. Cause at this point. I no longer have any idea lol

The Shaving Experiment.

Upon my most recent adventure to the nearest Target, I had a discovery. Razor blades for my razor cost EVEN MORE! than buying a whole new razor! I mean wtf? One costs 8 dollars. The other costs 14 dollars. Sure I get two extra blades than with the new razor... But isn't something new and complete supposed to be worth more? It was rather shocking!

So I decided, I wasn't going to buy a new set of blades.

As opposed to that I was going to simply test something.

Starting two days ago, I have changed out my blade. I have had this blade for about 16 days now. And I am going to keep it in until I find it no longer offers me the close shave I need!

And by close I mean I am growing out my hair for a day or so between each shave!

How long will it take for me to grow frustrated and cave into the ridiculous price for something that should be as cheap as toilet paper? I don't know, but hopefully time will determine such!

Xbox Live: Friend Or Foe?

Okay, so today I'm going to be addressing a question I've read in quite a few places (Surprisingly I mean, **I** have been on Xbox Live for well... Since late 2002. lol) that people are a bit skeptical on just how important/good Xbox Live really is.

Well here's your answer,

It's better than the Wii.
It's better than the PS3's PlayStation Network.

I made a comparison to make it easier for those who need such. Xbox 360 and Live aren't typical gaming. (What the fck you talking about?) It's something different. To me anyway, the Wii and the PS3 are typical mainstream gaming. The Xbox 360 and Live are for the hardcore game loving fiend. Recently they released the netflix thing, and those stupid avatars (Like PS3 trying to capitalize on the Wii's Mii's)... But seriously?

Those aren't what the gamers have been addicted to the console for.

Sure now a-days it's a mere content release to make the systems all seem the same, but for those of us who love Xbox what makes it amazing will always be the online factor. And now... The achievements.

I have friends I play with on Xbox live that I've known out of the games. And I have some (Who might even be cooler than said real friends) who I've played with for 6 years. That's the amazing aspect of the Xbox. Even us hardcore gaming nerds (I would never call myself such!) can feel bad ass when we've been playing a video game for 12 hours straight without so much as a coffee break.

It's friendship, it's community, and it's something none of these other consoles offer as well. Something the PC couldn't hope to offer.

And yes I know this draws in the people who go, "Well wtfx? On PC I can do more. STEAM STEAM STEAM!!" No. You epic-failed. Why? Because let's face it. On the PC you aren't all on the same medium of technology and equipment running off of (for most) the same sort of internet connection.

So the Xbox 360 with it's massive title list and awesome online services is clearly a great system for those of us who don't want to play games alone (Or just love to talk trash.).

Are there cons? Of course. But do they destroy the pros? Of course not. Not to me. And not to millions of other gamers. But does that mean they wont to you? No.

You do get those annoying 12-17 year old kids on there who think they're God's little gift, and you get the insults about your mother (And alot of fag jokes. I have to wonder are 90% of Xboxer's homophobes?) But still. They have implimented quite a few mute options. And as I said before, if you're a hardcore gamer you (like I!) will say, "Oh I'm muting you." And twenty minutes later unmute them to talk trash about that last touchdown you made in Madden '09 (Yeah that's for you killersandwich0123.)

So in short, if you like the Wii or the PS3, great! I do too. But if you're an avid gamer who loves the internet (You must be if you're reading a blog right?) Then the 360 + live is definitely for you.

And You Thought Titles Weren't Witty!

So here it is, my first in a series of new blogs designed to see if I can actually write interesting things.

So what better way to write the first blog than by explaining just what I like! Of course if you want that finely detailed list, you have to wait. Here's the random information you should take with you. I'm a lovely Californian male who does NOT simply say, "Well I'm a waiter soon-to-be actor." So for those of you who think that's what all Californian's (Man if only I could use Arnold's accent) You're WRONG.

What can you expect? Well nothing. Honestly I'm not here to please you, I'm here to write about the large list of things I love, love to hate, and like! I've blogged before (Really these days who hasn't fcking myspace.) and perhaps you'll favorite me and find that every day I come out with something new or interesting you DIDN'T know.

List of things: (I told you it'd be detailed... I lied. My bad.)

Xbox 360
Assorted types of rock
Chia pets (Seriously? Are you fcking kidding?)
The interwebz
Anime
Movies
Xbox 360 (Yeah I did purposely list this twice.)
Life's assorted wonders! (No, really.)

So there it is. The majority of what I'll be posting. And yes I'll read *some* comments. At least the ones I like. The others. Well you'll fade into what we in the blogging world call (annoying). So yeah. Good luck there!

Next issue: Xbox Live, fun, friendly, totally fcking racist.
